Africa: A Journey into the Soul
There are plenty of things that worth to see and experience. Here are just some of the many items we recommend for your journey to Africa.
Cape Town is a diverse and beautiful city from sea to sky. Table Mountain towers above the city and is visible from wherever you are in the city. Taking a cable car up to the top is a must because the views are spectacular. Just south of Cape Town is a peninsular which will take you down to the Cape of Good Hope. To the east of Cape Town you have a coastline called the Garden Route. This is a long stretch of coastline with long sweeping beaches and pounding surf. The coast is punctuated with headlands and cute little towns.

Johannesburg (Jo’burg or Jozi to the locals) is one of the greenest cities in the world. With an estimated 6 million trees throughout, this place is certainly not a dull concrete jungle but an enormous metropolis. Amid the ever-growing number of tall buildings and urban developments, you’ll find plenty to do in the city’s creative hubs, trendy areas and cultural districts. Set out to explore theatres, gardens, galleries, cafés and markets, and learn the sobering history of the city at its museums. The key is to dive in, be adventurous and enjoy the Jo’burg ride.

Like all good African destinations, Zambia has its own game parks including the huge Kafue National Park. The real draw-card here though is the thundering Victoria Falls. The main tourism hub and former colonial city of Livingstone is situated on the falls and offers a range of activities out of the splash zone. For the adventurous, you can white water raft your way down the Zambezi, bungee jump with a view, or even take a dip in The Devils Pool and swim on the edge of the fall itself.

Kenya is one of the ultimate African destinations. Its animals, landscapes and native people have long been the iconic image of Africa. The great Masai Mara National Reserve is entirely impressive, particularly during the wildebeest migration. You won't need much luck in order to tick the Big Five (the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhinoceros) off your list. The capital city Nairobi offers even greater intimacy, with the opportunity to visit an elephant orphanage or kiss a giraffe during a visit to The Giraffe Centre.

Dramatic coastlines and tropical islands prove there's more to Africa than safaris and overtones of adventure. Further into the Indian Ocean lies the Seychelles, a smattering of islands where warm tropical waters make the perfect playground for snorkelers. The Seychelles' dreamy setting makes the islands Praslin, Mahe and La Digue popular beach honeymoon destinations. Continuing off the mainland further east of Madagascar, Mauritius embraces its island paradise identity wholeheartedly. If your idea of an island escape includes stunning beaches lapped by turquoise waters and practically every conceivable ocean-related activity, a holiday to either of the two paradises will fit the bill.
